This matchup is defined by their Sphere of Resistance and land destruction suite (Thermokarst, Winter's Grasp, Rishadan Port) paired with a Terravore kill condition — prioritize Cabal Therapy and Duress early to strip Sphere of Resistance and Winter's Grasp before they resolve, as a resolved Sphere dramatically slows your ability to answer threats. Naturalize comes in as efficient instant-speed answers to Sphere of Resistance, Oath of Druids, and Sylvan Library, all of which generate enormous value if left unchecked. Blastoderm is an excellent threat here because its shroud clause makes it immune to Swords to Plowshares, while Bone Shredder handles a large Terravore cleanly (Smother also kills Terravore at any size since its converted mana cost is always 3). Phyrexian Furnace has minimal impact against this list as they are not graveyard-dependent, and Ravenous Rats is trimmed because their mana base and Mox Diamonds make the discard effect less reliable than your proactive Cabal Therapy and Duress; Pernicious Deed serves as a clean answer to Mishra's Factory tokens and any resolved enchantments that slip through.
