Temur will try to disrupt our engine with counterspells and answer our board with red removal, so speed and redundancy matter more than late-game power. The Masticores come out because their upkeep cost forces us to discard elves that fuel our Survival and Multani's Acolyte draw engine, and they're slow to deploy into open blue mana. Goblin Sharpshooter comes in to punish any x/1 threats or tokens and combos with Wirewood Symbiote to bounce and retap for repeated pings. Biorhythm enters as a clean kill condition when we've built a wide board but can't safely swing through their blockers or removal. Focus on establishing Survival of the Fittest early and building board presence before they can stabilize behind counterspells.
