Diabolic Edict is excellent against Deranged Hermit's Squirrel tokens, Ravenous Baloth, and any Recurring Nightmare-reanimated threat since it ignores size and evasion. Engineered Plague naming Squirrel shuts off the Deranged Hermit tokens' pump and shrinks the whole army, while also hitting Birds of Paradise if named instead when relevant. Sickening Dreams is weak since The Rock can rebuild its board via Recurring Nightmare and Natural Order, making a one-shot sweeper less effective, and Circular Logic is less reliable against a deck with few graveyard-dependent plays to punish. Smother and Duress remain strong against their small efficient creatures and disruption suite.
