Annul can counter artifact or enchantment spells like Mox Diamond, Sylvan Library, or Seal of Cleansing (which could otherwise threaten your own Powder Keg), but it can't stop an instant like Naturalize. Daze is weak here since you want to resolve your own threats proactively rather than tempo them, and this opponent isn't racing you with counterspells. Be mindful that Armageddon can blow up your own lands too, so sequence Back to Basics carefully to maximize the asymmetry.
