Duress is excellent proactive disruption, stripping Wrath of God, Standstill, or a counterspell before it can be deployed against us. Unearth is weak since Swords to Plowshares blanks any recursion plan, and Lava Dart is too small to matter against their Mishra's Factory threats, though it can kill Faerie Conclave. Play around Wrath of God by not overextending into a single removal spell, and use Wasteland to deny their manlands.
