Chill meaningfully taxes their red curve. Nearly every spell they cast is a red Goblin, so Goblin Warchief, Siege-Gang Commander and the rest of their creatures come down two mana later than they want. Hydroblast is a cheap answer to the same red threats. It can counter a red Goblin spell or destroy a red Goblin on the battlefield, but it cannot target Goblin Piledriver once that creature is on the battlefield because of its protection from blue. Overload stays in the sideboard. Their deck has no artifacts to target, so it has no legal targets in this matchup. Annul is also dead, since they cast no artifact or enchantment spells. That makes this a four-card swap: Chill and Hydroblast come in for Black Vise and one Thwart. Vise does little against an aggressive deck that empties its hand quickly, and Thwart is too slow and clunky here. Stasis remains a powerful stabilizer once established. Their creatures stop untapping, so only freshly cast Goblins, especially hasty ones off Goblin Warchief, can attack, and each of those gets only one attack.
