Naturalize answers Pernicious Deed, their primary sweeper that can wipe our whole board including lands like Treetop Village if animated, so doubling up on removal for it is valuable. Glowrider taxes their noncreature spells, which covers their Cabal Therapy, Chainer's Edict, Smother, Duress and Pernicious Deed disruption suite. It does not tax their creature spells. This slows their disruption-heavy plan. Oath of Druids is risky because it only triggers for the player with fewer creatures. Their creature-heavy deck (Ravenous Baloth, Krosan Tusker, Genesis) gets a big free creature whenever we lead on board, while our own library has only Terravore to find, so we cut it. Thermokarst is less impactful against a manabase that is mostly basic Forests and Swamps, with Wall of Roots adding extra mana, so we trim two copies for proactive tech that slows their disruption.
