Dimir Excruciator's Seasoned Cryomancer and Deceit both lean heavily on enter-the-battlefield triggers, so Torpor Orb turns off their card filtering and Deceit's bounce and discard effects for a huge tempo gain. Superior Spider-Man's Mind Swap is a choice made as he enters rather than a trigger, so Torpor Orb will not stop him from copying a creature card. Negate is excellent against their noncreature suite including Duress, Theorix Charm, and Winternight Stories. Boomerang Basics just resets their already-strong ETB creatures for them to replay, making it actively counterproductive here, and Braided Net is too passive against a deck with real removal like Bitter Triumph and Requiting Hex. Keep Day of Judgment in since it answers Superior Spider-Man cleanly. It only answers Overlord of the Balemurk once it is a creature, so it does nothing to an Overlord cast for its impending cost until the last time counter is gone.
