Azorius Tempo leans on countermagic like Three Steps Ahead and No More Lies alongside sweepers like Day of Judgment. Surrak, Elusive Hunter cannot be countered, dodging their counterspell suite outright, and its trample lets it punch through Emeritus blockers. Bovine Intervention answers Emeritus of Truce or Emeritus of Ideation before they use their spell-side value. Although Interdimensional Web Watch survives Day of Judgment since it is an artifact, it and some Formidable Speakers are cut for more resilient, uncounterable threats.
