Rakdos Lizards floods the board with cheap one- and two-drops (Hired Claw, Flamecache Gecko, Master of Barbs), making Split Up excellent at wiping their aggressive board in one sweep. Seam Rip picks off an early Iridescent Vinelasher or Gev, Scaled Scorch before it snowballs value. Twinmaw Stormbrood is too slow against this low curve, and trimming an Erode for the sweeper is a net upgrade since Split Up answers multiple bodies at once.
