Rakdos Lizards is an aggressive creature deck packed with burn like Burst Lightning and Stingerquill Charm, so Erode is efficient instant-speed removal that answers their key threats like Gev, Scaled Scorch or Ingris Stingerquill before they take over combat. Shattered Acolyte trades well with their 1-2 toughness Lizards and gains life to offset their burn-based damage plan. Doc Ock's Tentacles and Basilisk Collar are too slow in this fast matchup, and Raubahn's ward tax is less relevant since this deck has little hard targeted removal, mostly direct damage which still gets through regardless.
