Rakdos Lizards is an aggressive low-curve deck full of 1- and 2-mana threats like Hired Claw, Iridescent Vinelasher, and Flamecache Gecko, so cheap efficient interaction is key. The extra Requiting Hex copies cleanly answer almost their entire curve at mana value 2 or less, and blighting a creature of ours as the additional cost gains 2 life to offset their burn like Burst Lightning and Stingerquill Charm. Duress can't touch their creatures, but it does take a burn spell like Burst Lightning or Stingerquill Charm before it can swing the race in their favor. Obsessive Pursuit's life-loss upkeep cost and Fanatical Offering's sacrifice cost are both too risky against this matchup's speed and reach.
