Orzhov Amalia is a lifegain value deck built around Amalia Benavides Aguirre, Haliya, Guided by Light, and Enlightened Confidant, with Erode as their main removal. Erode can destroy any creature or planeswalker, including our Hearth Elemental, Eddymurk Crab, and Sunderflock, so don't treat our big threats as safe from it. Spell Pierce is a good addition because it taxes their noncreature spells like Erode, Case of the Uneaten Feast, and Lunar Convocation, which are the cards that enable their lifegain payoffs. Spell Snare stays in because many of their key cards have mana value 2, including Amalia, Starscape Cleric, Enlightened Confidant, and Lunar Convocation. Impractical Joke is the slot we trim, since it only answers a single body while their lifegain engine keeps generating value, so we swap it for the extra disruption.
