Dimir Control shares Excruciator's discard-and-removal shell but leans further into Stock Up and Doctor Doom for long-game card advantage, so this becomes a battle of resource attrition. Spell Pierce and Disdainful Stroke protect our own threats or counter their Bitter Triumph and Requiting Hex at key moments, while Return the Favor turns a big removal spell or Day of Black Sun back against them. Annul answers a resolved Emeritus of Ideation or other problematic noncreature permanent. We trim narrow, low-impact cards to maximize interaction density in this grindy control mirror.
