BRG is a creature-based midrange deck full of small value creatures (Gene Pollinator, Greedy Freebooter, Callous Inspector) and removal (Requiting Hex, Maelstrom Pulse, Stir Up Trouble), so Meltstrider's Resolve is excellent for fighting down their early 1- and 2-toughness creatures while growing your own threat. Surrak, Elusive Hunter is resilient against their removal-heavy plan since it can't be countered and punishes their targeted spells with card draw. Shared Roots and Earthbender Ascension are too passive against a deck that develops its board quickly, so prioritize combat interaction and a hard-to-answer threat instead.
