This is a mirror match against another Orzhov Amalia life-gain deck, so Duress strips their removal (Erode) or disruption before it answers our threats, while also hitting their copy of Amalia Benavides Aguirre or Liliana the Faultless in hand. Bloodthirsty Conqueror's flying deathtouch body is excellent against their similarly-sized ground creatures and its lifegain trigger compounds with our own Amalia and Ajani Resolute. We trim a copy of Enlightened Confidant since card parity matters less than tempo in the mirror, and cut Get Lost for proactive hand disruption since both decks are racing on the same axis.
