Jeskai Control is loaded with sweepers (Day of Judgment, Deadly Cover-Up, Pyroclasm) and singleton removal, so Defend the Rider protects a key threat from Bitter-Triumph-style answers or lets us rebuild a token after a wipe. Heritage Reclamation can strip Tablet of Discovery before it snowballs and doubles as a way to exile cards from their graveyard to blank Flashback. Extra Spell Pierce is strong on the draw to blow out an early Stock Up or Tablet of Discovery, but since we already run 2 copies maindeck we're only adding 2 more of the same card, so cut the top-heavy Lumbering Worldwagon and Terrian which die to sweepers without impacting the board fast enough. Rogue's Passage comes out since Jeskai rarely has enough blockers to need evasion help.
