Jeskai Control wants to grind with card advantage engines like Jeskai Revelation and Stock Up while sweeping our board with Fire Magic and Deadly Cover-Up, so speed and disruption are both important. Disdainful Stroke is excellent against Jeskai Revelation's mana value 7 and other expensive spells, while Spell Pierce punishes their cheap setup spells like Stock Up and Consult the Star Charts when they're tapped out. Broadside Barrage can kill a Monk token or an animated Great Hall of the Biblioplex and loots to help us rebuild after a sweeper. Impractical Joke and Secret Identity are weak since they have few early creatures to target and our board will likely get wiped by Fire Magic or Deadly Cover-Up regardless, so trimming them for interaction is worthwhile. Play around their sweepers by not overcommitting to the board and leaning on burn to close the game.
