Lifegain relies on constant small lifegain triggers from Hinterland Sanctifier, Case of the Uneaten Feast, and Amalia Benavides Aguirre, so Sunspine Lynx completely shuts off their life gain plan while also punishing their nonbasic lands like Concealed Courtyard and Godless Shrine for extra damage on entry. Slagstorm sweeps their many 1-2 toughness value creatures (Hinterland Sanctifier, Deep-Cavern Bat, Starscape Cleric) before Amalia can grow out of control. Razorkin Needlehead and Hired Claw are too fragile against their removal-light but creature-dense board, so we prioritize the sweeper and Sunspine Lynx's life-denial plan instead.
