Orzhov Amalia is built around lifegain triggers feeding Amalia Benavides Aguirre's explore ability. Torpor Orb doesn't stop Amalia's explore trigger or Enlightened Confidant's end-step surveil, since neither triggers off a creature entering. It does shut off the creature-entering lifegain triggers that feed them, such as Haliya's, Hinterland Sanctifier's, and Case of the Uneaten Feast's. A third Pinnacle Starcage exiles their cheap engine pieces like Starscape Cleric and Enlightened Confidant. Rest in Peace denies Case of the Uneaten Feast's solved mode (recasting creatures from the graveyard) and any other recursion. Three Steps Ahead and extra No More Lies are too reactive against a creature-based value engine, so they come out in favor of proactive hate; Day of Judgment and Get Lost remain key answers to Amalia herself.
