Azorius Tempo floods the board with cheap fliers like Momo, Friendly Flier, Sage of the Skies, and Steamcore Scholar, so Day of Judgment is a powerful full reset once you're behind on the board. Doorkeeper Thrull blocks their fliers and shuts off enter-the-battlefield triggers like Starfield Shepherd's tutor and Steamcore Scholar's card draw. Requiting Hex is too narrow against their wide array of mana value 3+ threats, and Iron-Shield Elf trades poorly against their evasive fliers, so both come out. This plan trades some aggression for durability against their go-wide flying strategy.
