Dimir Excruciator is a control-combo deck with sweepers like Deadly Cover-Up and Day of Black Sun plus discard from Duress, so our anti-aggro cards like Lodestone Needle and Dusk Rose Reliquary come out for cards that are resilient and generate ongoing value. Page, Loose Leaf provides cheap bodies that rebuild well after a sweeper and dig for action via Grandeur. The extra Tezzeret, Cruel Captain is a strong grinding threat that survives their removal-light, sweeper-heavy plan. Watch out for Doomsday Excruciator's library exile effect changing the long game, but our proactive artifact plan should out-pace their card disadvantage from Duress and discard.
