Lavinia, Azorius Renegade counters their free Daze and Force of Will when cast without mana paid in this mirror-style matchup. Spell Pierce is weak since they'll usually have mana up given their own tempo plan, and Counterbalance is inconsistent against their varied one-and-two mana curve of Ponder, Stifle, and Daze. This is largely a mirror decided by threat quality and sequencing, so we keep the core Jace, Stoneforge, and Swords to Plowshares package intact rather than overhauling the plan.
