Bant Control runs a heavy Island count alongside their fetches and duals, so Carpet of Flowers generates a real mana advantage that helps us out-resource them in the long, grindy games this matchup produces. Consign to Memory profitably counters Quantum Riddler's colorless mana triggered abilities are irrelevant, but it still answers Clue tokens and any colorless spells they might sideboard in, and its cheap cost lets us hold up interaction without overcommitting mana. We trim our own Murktide Regent since their Swords to Plowshares and Leyline Binding answer it just as easily as ours answers theirs, turning it into a resource trade we don't need to force; Force of Negation gets cut down since they're likely bringing in their own Force of Negation and Spell Pierce, making our copies less impactful in a countermagic standoff where card advantage matters more.
