Death and Taxes presents a steady stream of small, disruptive creatures (Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, Phelia, Recruiter of the Guard, Skyclave Apparition) that Ensnaring Bridge shuts down once our hand is empty, since almost none of their attackers exceed low power. Dismember's -5/-5 kills most of their key creatures outright, including Stoneforge Mystic, Phelia, and Skyclave Apparition. Karakas is excellent here defensively, bouncing their own legendary threats, though as a nonbasic land it remains vulnerable to Wasteland. We trim a Force of Negation since their deck is mostly creature-based and less reliant on key noncreature spells to counter.
