Deafening Silence cripples their cantrip-countermagic shell by limiting them to one noncreature spell per turn, severely hampering Brainstorm/Ponder/Daze/Force of Will sequencing, while our own plan is mostly creatures so we're barely affected. Surgical Extraction and Faerie Macabre strip Murktide Regent fuel from their graveyard and can answer an escaped Nethergoyf or exile their Underground Sea/Polluted Delta to blunt fetch-based graveyard growth. We trim slower or situational equipment pieces that are weak against a tempo deck looking to race and disrupt. Keep Thoughtseize and the full removal suite since Tamiyo and Murktide Regent still need to be answered on resolution.
