Disruptor Flute can tax Karn, the Great Creator or The One Ring by making them cost {3} more, or name Urza's Saga to shut off its Construct-making ability (its mana ability still works). That slows their artifact-based engine significantly, and its flash lets it dodge sorcery-speed interaction. Damping Sphere caps the big mana bursts from Urza's Tower, Urza's Mine, Urza's Power Plant, and Urza's Workshop that let them deploy Trinisphere or Ugin early, and it also taxes any turn where they chain multiple spells. Faerie Macabre can discard itself to exile cards from graveyards, though its main value here is simply as a 2/2 flier for {1}{B}{B}. Skyclave Apparition stays in the deck: Karn and The One Ring both have mana value 4, so it can exile them, along with cheaper pieces like Trinisphere and Grim Monolith. Flickerwisp's blink does little against a grindy artifact-prison deck, and Swords to Plowshares has few creature targets beyond Urza's Saga Constructs and Karn-animated artifacts, so those come out for the more targeted hate pieces.
