Death and Taxes leans on Stoneforge Mystic, Aether Vial, and a wide array of disruptive creatures like Solitude and Skyclave Apparition, with Wasteland and Karakas punishing your manabase and legendary threats. Surgical Extraction can strip a key toolbox piece like Solitude or Recruiter of the Guard from their graveyard once discarded or exiled via evoke, slowing their recursion plan. Ratchet Bomb offers a scalable answer to their token generators and small creatures once set to the right count. Trim Mishra's Bauble and a Spell Pierce for these more impactful, proactive answers, since this matchup rewards efficient removal and disruption over pure card selection.
