Dimir Tempo relies on Wasteland and Daze to tempo us out while building toward Murktide Regent or a flipped Tamiyo; Lightning Bolt and Abrade give cheap, efficient answers to their small creatures (Nethergoyf, Bilbo, Orcish Bowmasters) and Abrade can also destroy an artifact like a problematic Clue or Equipment. Pithing Needle can shut down Wasteland activations or a troublesome planeswalker-creature like Kaito. Pinnacle Emissary's 3/3 body is fine but not essential against a deck without much ground presence, and the extra Bauble is replaced by more interactive cards. Keep the full artifact mana base and engine since Wasteland pressure is best answered by resilience, not cuts.
