WU leans on cheap interaction (Swords to Plowshares, Stifle, Daze) and card selection into Tamiyo, Inquisitive Student or Phelia, Exuberant Shepherd; Kappa Cannoneer is a resilient, evasive threat that grows and becomes unblockable as we deploy more artifacts, and its Ward 4 taxes every targeted answer they have, Swords to Plowshares included. Echoing Truth can bounce a problematic Tamiyo or Teferi, Time Raveler (and any copies if they have more than one) to buy tempo back. We cut the weaker artifact creature and a cantrip since this matchup rewards a bigger, harder-to-answer threat over incremental card advantage. Watch for Wasteland on our nonbasic-heavy manabase.
