Death and Taxes floods the board with efficient creatures like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Stoneforge Mystic, so Wrath of the Skies scales to answer a wide, cheap board at sorcery timing. Containment Priest is excellent, stopping Aether Vial from putting creatures into play and shutting off value from creatures cheated into play, while also exiling any nontoken creature that enters without being cast. Spell Snare is narrow against their curve, but their noncreature spell count is low, making Force of Negation less impactful since it can't hit their many creature spells, so we trim both to fit in our proactive sweeper effects.
