Eldrazi floods the board with efficient colorless threats like Thought-Knot Seer, Reality Smasher, and Eldrazi Linebreaker, so Wrath of the Skies gives us a scalable sweeper to answer their board after Chalice of the Void locks out some of our cheap interaction. Consign to Memory is a cheap answer here because nearly all of their spells are colorless, and it can also counter triggered abilities like Thought-Knot Seer's enter trigger. Force of Negation is weak because it can only counter noncreature spells, and nearly all of their threats are creatures. Forth Eorlingas! is too slow against a deck that curves out efficiently with colorless beaters.
