Izzet Delver is almost entirely blue and red spells, making Pyroblast a premium one-mana answer to Murktide Regent, Force of Will, Daze, or any blue cantrip, while Hydroblast can snipe Dragon's Rage Channeler or Cori-Steel Cutter or counter their red spells. Back to Basics is unplayable here since their manabase is mostly basics plus a handful of duals/fetches, giving minimal lock value against their Volcanic Island-heavy but largely basic-backed mana. Forth Eorlingas! is too slow against a deck that races with Dragon's Rage Channeler and Lightning Bolt, and Gandalf's body doesn't impact the race fast enough. Keep the full removal suite since Swords to Plowshares and Flame of Anor are excellent against their small, evasive threats.
