Force of Vigor destroys up to two artifacts at instant speed, hitting Trinisphere, Grim Monolith, Giant's Boulder, an artifact animated by Karn, the Great Creator, or a key Urza's Saga Construct token before it grows out of hand. It can be cast for free on their turn by exiling a green card from hand, which helps when we're tight on mana. Note that The One Ring is indestructible, so Force of Vigor can't remove it. Damping Sphere caps the extra mana from their Urza's Tower, Mine, Power Plant and Workshop at a single colorless, and taxes their spell-heavy turns, slowing the Ugin plan considerably. It does not affect artifact mana like Grim Monolith. We trim narrow cards like Pithing Needle and Grafdigger's Cage, and we go down two copies of Disruptor Flute, leaving one in the deck, since we already have Expedition Map and Crop Rotation to find Wasteland effects. Wasteland and Boseiju remain essential to keep denying their Urza's Tron pieces.
