Massacre can often be cast for free here since the opponent typically controls a Plains while we control a Swamp, and it wipes their Cat tokens, Guide of Souls, Ocelot Pride, and Ajani's initial token all at once. Nihil Spellbomb exiles their graveyard to blunt any recursive value while cycling into a card later. Daze is less useful since Ocelot Pride Midrange isn't a tempo-countermagic deck and we'd rather hold up real answers, and Wail of the Forgotten is too slow against their go-wide aggression. Orcish Bowmasters and Fatal Push stay in to pick off their small creatures and punish their noncreature spells.
