Lands relies heavily on Wasteland and Ghost Quarter to deny our nonbasic-heavy manabase while assembling Dark Depths or grinding with Life from the Loam, so Disruptor Flute naming Life from the Loam or Dark Depths taxes their core engine pieces significantly. Mycosynth Lattice turns every permanent into an artifact, which lets our own artifact-synergy payoffs like Urza's Workshop metalcraft and Mox Opal metalcraft trigger far more easily. Wasteland already hits any nonbasic land of ours regardless of card type, so Lattice doesn't change what it can target. Transmute Artifact is risky when we're already land-light from Wasteland pressure, since sacrificing an artifact for a tutor target we may not be able to afford to put onto the battlefield is costly. We keep our full Ancient Tomb and Urza's Saga count since the explosive mana and value they provide are worth the risk of trading with Wasteland.
