Rakdos Reanimator is the most direct mirror-race in the meta — both decks can win turn one, and the player who goes first with a clean hand wins the large majority of games. Their Thoughtseize and Unmask are more dangerous here than in most matchups because they know exactly which pieces matter (your Thassa's Oracle and Dread Return); use your own Unmask aggressively to see their hand and either take their reanimation spell or assess whether they can beat your speed. Chancellor of the Annex is your best card in this matchup when revealed from opening hand, taxing their Dark Ritual-into-Reanimate sequence by one colorless mana at a moment that can completely invalidate their turn-one kill. Memory's Journey is critical post-board when they have Surgical Extraction — returning Oracle to library from the graveyard after a mill effect means they cannot extract your win condition. Post-board they pivot to Stronghold Gambit and Show and Tell lines, which you largely cannot interact with, so winning game two quickly before they assemble their sideboard plan is imperative.
