This is our own archetype mirrored with an Izzet Affinity shell, so Hydroblast is live against their red spells like Cori-Steel Cutter, Lightning Bolt-style burn, and Amped Raptor, both countering and destroying red permanents outright. Hullbreacher punishes their cantrip suite (Brainstorm, Ponder, Flow State) the same way it would in any mirror-adjacent matchup, generating Treasures instead of letting extra cards through, while Barrowgoyf is a resilient deathtouch/lifelink body that out-races their small creatures. We trim Thundertrap Trainer copies since card selection matters less when both decks are grinding with Karn, the Great Creator and The One Ring, cut Islands since Hydroblast only needs single blue, and shave Sink into Stupor for more proactive threats. Save Force of Negation and Force of Will for their own copies of The One Ring or Karn.
