4c HollowOne relies on cheap discard/cycle threats like Hollow One, Vengevine, and Blazing Rootwalla rather than graveyard recursion that Tormod's Crypt disrupts meaningfully (Vengevine returns itself from the graveyard as a trigger, not something Crypt stops once it's already back), so we bring in more direct removal instead. Galvanic Blast kills their small aggressive creatures for one mana, hitting for 4 with metalcraft against Hollow One and Vengevine. Whipflare sweeps their many 1-2 toughness threats like Blazing Rootwalla and Marauding Mako before they grow via +1/+1 counters. Claws of Gix is too slow against their fast clock built around free/cheap threats.
