Ruby Storm wins by chaining free or cheap spells like Desperate Ritual, Pyretic Ritual, and Manamorphose into a lethal Grapeshot or Past in Flames turn, so Vexing Bauble is excellent since it counters their zero-cost triggers are irrelevant here, but more importantly it can be sacrificed for value if left uncontested, and its static ability stops any free-cast spells they have access to. Galvanic Blast is cheap, efficient interaction that can kill Ral, Monsoon Mage before he flips or go to the dome to race if they stumble. Claws of Gix and Welding Jar don't meaningfully interact with their combo plan, so they're cut for more relevant pieces. Keep Tormod's Crypt in since it can strip Past in Flames targets from their graveyard, slowing down their backup plan.
