Ruby Storm is a mirror-style race full of colorless-cost-agnostic instants and sorceries like Desperate Ritual, Pyretic Ritual, and Manamorphose, so Consign to Memory can't touch those directly, but it isn't limited to colorless spells — it also counters target triggered ability, so it can strip away Ral, Monsoon Mage's triggers or other relevant triggers when they matter, and it still catches any colorless spells like Ruby Medallion; its real value is soft, flexible interaction when little else fits. Flusterstorm is the priority include since it punishes their storm count and protects our own combo turn from Silence or countermagic they may have. Force of Negation gets worse since we're often on the play racing rather than reacting, and tapping out to cast their spells matters less against a deck this fast, so trim it for more proactive redundancy. This matchup is almost entirely about who assembles their combo first, so mulligan aggressively for fast starts and use Disrupting Shoal reactively only if it doesn't cost tempo.
