HollowOne floods the board with small, discard-fueled threats (Hollow One, Vengevine, Marauding Mako, Blazing Rootwalla, Detective's Phoenix), so Wrath of the Skies is excellent as a scalable sweeper that can wipe their whole board once enough energy is paid. Obsidian Charmaw comes in as a big flying body that also blows up a nonbasic land, which is relevant since their manabase leans heavily on fetches and Sacred Foundry. Rest in Peace and Surgical Extraction attack their graveyard-centric plan hard, shutting off flashback Faithless Looting, escape Ox of Agonas, and bestow Detective's Phoenix, while Soul-Guide Lantern adds a proactive early graveyard hit and cantrips later. Static Prison and Boromir are weaker here since the opponent has few impactful noncreature spells or single high-value permanents worth locking down, and Thraben Charm's damage mode is often too small against their bigger bodies while Elegant Parlor's slow, tapped mana is a liability against their explosive starts, so those come out. Blood Moon is cut from the maindeck copy since it doesn't meaningfully disrupt their plan (they run plenty of basics and cheap spells) and the graveyard hate is a much higher priority angle of attack.
