Grixis Reanimator wins by discarding Archon of Cruelty or Abhorrent Oculus via Faithless Looting or Psychic Frog and returning them with Persist or Unearth, so graveyard disruption and counterspell density are the priorities. Nihil Spellbomb answers a stocked graveyard at zero tempo loss, and Flusterstorm is exceptional here — it counters Persist, Unearth, and Faithless Looting for a single blue mana and scales against storm copies they may try to bait with. Thoughtseize is your most important proactive tool; prioritize stripping the reanimation sorcery over the threat itself when possible, as they often have redundancy on targets. Mystical Dispute answers Psychic Frog and Abhorrent Oculus on the stack for one mana, and End of the Hunt cleans up any reanimated threat that slips through. Unholy Heat and the third Consign to Memory come out because our post-board configuration is heavy on disruption and their threats are either too large for Heat without delirium or better answered by exile and counters.
