Izzet Prowess is a fast, low-curve tempo/burn deck, so Damping Sphere taxes their multi-spell turns (Cori-Steel Cutter Flurry triggers, double-spell cantrip turns) and slows their clock considerably. We trim our most expensive, situational cards since this matchup is about surviving the early onslaught and stabilizing rather than going over the top with a big finisher.
