Boros Energy swarms the board with cheap creatures and tokens, with Ocelot Pride and Ajani making the bodies and Guide of Souls and Goblin Bombardment adding value, so Ensnaring Bridge can lock out their small attackers once our hand is low, especially paired with our big mana plan. Torpor Orb turns off Guide of Souls' energy trigger and the enter-the-battlefield triggers on Ajani, Seasoned Pyromancer, and Ranger-Captain of Eos, slowing their engine, though Ocelot Pride's end step token trigger still works. Chalice of the Void set to one counters Ragavan, Ocelot Pride, Guide of Souls, Galvanic Discharge, and Static Prison, which is most of their cheap interaction and early plays, although it also counters our own Expedition Map and Giant's Boulder. Cut slow Giant's Boulders and a Forest since this matchup is a race against an aggressive low curve.
