Ruby Storm wants to chain cheap rituals and cantrips like Desperate Ritual, Manamorphose, and Pyretic Ritual to assemble a Grapeshot or Past in Flames kill, so Trinisphere taxes every one of those under-three-mana spells to three mana and can single-handedly shut down their turn. Ensnaring Bridge is weak here since they don't attack with creatures to win. The Filigree Sylex can be ticked up over several turns and then sacrificed to wipe their board of nonland permanents like Ral, Monsoon Mage at a shared mana value, giving you a reset button if they stabilize. Dismember does nothing against a deck with few relevant creatures, and Glaring Fleshraker is too slow against a combo deck racing to kill you before you assemble your own Eldrazi Temple-fueled plan, so both come out for proactive hate.
