Esper Control leans on Teferi, Time Raveler and Narset, Parter of Veils plus a heavy wrath suite (Supreme Verdict, Wrath of the Skies). Wastescape Battlemage kicked with its {1}{U} kicker returns target creature an opponent controls to its owner's hand, so it can bounce a creature like Solitude, buying tempo back, but it can't touch planeswalkers like Teferi or Narset. Disruptor Flute is best named on Teferi, Time Raveler or Narset, Parter of Veils: spells with the chosen name cost {3} more to cast, and if one resolves anyway its loyalty abilities can't be activated, since they aren't mana abilities. Their static effects still apply. It can also be named on a card like Isochron Scepter to shut off its activated ability. Cut Nulldrifter as too slow and expensive here; its cast trigger draws two even if it's countered, but seven mana is a lot to spend against Teferi and Narset. Trim two Sowing Mycospawn since this matchup is won by resolving and protecting the combo through counterspells and wraths rather than grinding with midsized bodies.
