Belcher is an artifact combo deck around Goblin Charbelcher and Lotus Bloom that tries to kill us out of nowhere, so Meltdown can blow up Goblin Charbelcher before it goes off, and Abrade offers flexible, cheap artifact removal or can pick off a small blocker. Buried Alive does nothing to disrupt their combo and wastes a turn we can't afford against a deck this fast, so it's cut along with ritual redundancy in favor of proactive artifact disruption that directly attacks their game plan.
