Faerie Macabre can be discarded for free to exile Dread Return from their graveyard, which shuts off its flashback since the card has to be in the graveyard to be cast. It can also exile creature cards that Balustrade Spy or Winding Way put there, which blunts Lotleth Giant and other graveyard-matters creatures. Drown in Sorrow's -2/-2 sweeps away Elves of Deep Shadow and small creatures like Gatecreeper Vine, Quirion Ranger, and Mesmeric Fiend, slowing their ramp into Generous Ent and Lotleth Giant. It will not kill the bigger bodies such as Saruli Caretaker, Overgrown Battlement, or Wall of Roots. Tithing Blade is weak here since the opponent floods the board with cheap creatures, so they can sacrifice their least valuable one and a single forced sacrifice is low-impact. Bojuka Bog is only a minor speed bump since it enters tapped, can only exile a graveyard that already has cards in it, and their main engines (Winding Way, Lead the Stampede) find what they need from the library.
