Spy Combo wants to flip Balustrade Spy and chain Dread Return's flashback (sacrifice three creatures) to reanimate a big threat, and Crypt Incursion exiles all creature cards from a target player's graveyard while gaining you 3 life per card exiled, directly cutting off Dread Return flashback fuel and other graveyard recursion. Fanged Flames is less impactful against a deck built around ramp creatures like Wall of Roots and Overgrown Battlement rather than hard-to-kill threats, making it the easiest one-for-one cut. Counterspell and Dispel remain key to stop Dread Return or key draw spells, while Mulldrifter and Augur of Bolas should out-grind their slower ramp plan.
